You want to swim in the river, I want to dance in the summer...
So, people had expressed an interest in coming in for my birthday party, so I thought I would give a big heads up on when and where. Birthday plans:I was thinking Marrakesh in downtown Portland on the 18th, probably at around 7. If you haven't been there, it is one of the coolest places I have ever been, with 5 course meals, belly dancers, incense and amazing food. This would of course be followed by a party back at my place afterward. Trust me, this place is amazing. RSVPing would be helpful, because I would have to make a reservation. If you can read this, you're invited, so just drop me a line and let me know ASAP. School is going to go really well this term, I can feel it. I'm finally getting organized haha. Hope you're all doing well. Current Mood: productiveCurrent Music: Emery - "The Devil Beats His Wife" |

Just a thought
And addendum to my last post. I love reading about Rommel. Arguably the best field commander of the war, and yet no-one knows who he is. I am so glad I've taken Film classes these last two terms. From working at Hollywood to these classes, I've discovered a real passion for film as an active hobby as opposed to a passive one. I feel like I am much more capable of analyzing a film objectively and appreciating it's value as an art than I was a year ago. That being said, what would you all (you all being those still in the Portland metro area) think about a movie night once or twice a month? Bring some beers and popcorn, watch a pretentious European film or stupid British comedy, or whatever. I just don't have enough interaction with any of you, and it would be rad to watch movies with you all :) Just respond if you're interested. Even if you're off at college, if that appeals to you at all and maybe we can set something up for over the summer. Life is going well. Wedding planning is a PAIN in the ass. But a very, very worthwhile one. Hope everyone else is doing as well. P.S. If you ever run into someone who says Jia Zhangke is the best living filmmaker, run very quickly in the opposite direction. Or grab something blunt to beat some sense into them with. Current Mood: thoughtfulCurrent Music: The Sounds - "Ego" |

Nerd nerd nerd
So, only important to my nerdy friends who play warhammer. Going from ( this )... To ( THIS )It's nice to be playing 40k again... In other, less nerdy news, things are going pretty well. Planning for the wedding is going as smooth as possible for something that will potentially involve almost 150 people in one place for an afternoon. We have a venue saved, are working on such exciting projects as stationery and tablecloths, and will hopefully be giving out STD's (just what you've always wanted, I know!) by the end of next month. BUT in actual exciting news, we found rings! Both of them are super badass and fit our personalities really well. I'm pretty happy with how it has worked out for us. So, just so I don't continually bore those of you that don't care (the wedding is about the only big exciting thing going on in my life right now haha), here's the wedsite (no, that is not a typo)(apparently I'm really digging parentheses tonight) for those of you who want to keep up on the details and so on. www.mywedding.com/annemarieandjeffrey And, I think it'll be the Steelers. Any thoughts? That's it from me Current Mood: cheerfulCurrent Music: Elliot Smith - "Between the Bars" |

Eh
Since I feel the need to put SOMETHING here... Hellboy II was AMAZING. I highly recommend it to anyone who liked the quirkiness of the first film. That's all |

Help a friend?
You all love Chelsea, right? Riiight? Help her out! Chelsea, along with some of her friends, produce the internet sensation "Dude, Where's My Mount." Just recently, they were approached by none other than Machinma.com, and they offered to put up all the episodes on their site! This being the website that introduced Red v. Blue, they of course agreed. Heres where you come in! They get paid for their work, but it's based on the number of hits they get. The more often the show is watched, the more cash they get, the more cash they get, the more Dude you get. Get it? Good! Here's the link! http://www.machinima.com/series/view&id=79Help a friend! Lol! ROFL! That is all Current Music: Dude, Where's My MOUNT!?! |

Only love, can make it rain...
"We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary." I love you, James D. Nicoll ^^ *Edit* For some reason, the quote sight I was on listed that as being said by Booker T. Washington. It was wrong :P |

And baby, this won't get any easier...
I recommend everyone who plays D&D read ( this )With that out of the way, I will give as close to a real post as I ever do, lol. The last few days have been okay, just a lot of work. I work twelve out of the next fourteen days, the majority of which are eight our shifts, at JMC, and I hope to really step back in to Vector these next few weeks as well. I feel a little... stretched? But the money really is flowing, and that has been a HUGE asset. I should be able to get my classes soon, which will be nice, and Ive got plenty of money for my insurance and car payments. Tomorrow night is the Escape, and Im really hoping people come with me. I am most definitely stopping by Justin's before I go to see Sean before he goes to Hawaii :( Oh well, Im sure he'll have a blast. Thats all I can really think of... Maybe Ill update more later, lol. We've burned the temple in sordid flame...
Sooo, I think Im going to ignore my overblown fear of medication and take a sleeping pill. I really need sleep, aaaaand, Im an insomniac. Hooray for maybe sleep? Ive picked up unsuccesfully trying to write poetry again. Nietzche inspired me. Im debating whether to post. Even if I do, itll be to a custom group. We'll see. Im sick and tired of being sick and tired. Night Current Mood: sickCurrent Music: FBTMOF - "Hey Kid, I'm A Computer, Stop All The Downloading" |

Fine then
Since I screwed this up last time, lets try this again 1. One secret. 2. One compliment. 3. One non-compliment. 4. How old you are. 5. How long we've known each other. 6. One love note. It doesn't have to be for me. 7. Lyrics to a song. 8. And a hint to who you are... |
